  1. From January 18 2012, Jassim Muhammad Al-Assadi, Araz Mustafa Hamarash and Nadheer Abud Fazaa will be the Nature Iraq Management (Managing Directors). Nadheer Abood Fazaa is appointed as Nature Iraq Chief Executive Officer ( CEO).

    The Quilisan and Tanjero rivers near the city of Sulaymaniyah, Kurdistan, in northern Iraq—once large, vibrant and healthy rivers—are now nearly dead from pollution and degradation. To create awareness of the polluted rivers, the Waterkeeper team showed their film about the river spirit to hundreds of children and students in and around Sulaymaniyah.

  3. Thanks to a grant from the SeaWorld & Busch Gardens Conservation Fund, Nature Iraq recently completed a conservation education project to improve the condition of animals in captivity - and raise awareness about the health of zoo animals and the requirements for building rehabilitation centers in the country.  The project was offered to veterinarians and zoo staff from all parts Iraq.
