Specifically, the Law and Advocacy project will bring together government officials, civil society organizations, and community representatives to increase their literacy and engagement with Iraq's environmental laws. A series of trainings, meetings, website and newasletters makings, and set of multi-lingual guides on the environmental laws of Iraq, will bring together these diverse groups through the common interest of preserving Iraq's water resources and ensuring a clean and healthy future for the next generation.
Nature Iraq is an Iraqi non-governmental organization that was created to protect, restore, and preserve Iraq’s natural environment and the rich cultural heritage that it nourishes. The Waterkeepers Iraq Program advocates on behalf of and works to protect the rivers, streams and waterways of Iraq and supports local communities in the sustainable use of these natural resources.
The Water Right Foundation is an Italian non-profit association that seeks to promote development cooperation projects, awareness-raising activities on access-to-water and sustainable management, and capacity building.
