Project aims and objectives
In this project, Future4Leopards Foundation (Iran) and Nature Iraq (Iraq) are teamed up to carry out a conservation and monitoring program on Persian leopards across the two countries. We seek to achieve to three objectives:
1) Training and capacity building for local conservation practitioners across both sides of the border on monitoring leopards and mitigating conflict with communities; 2) Conducting systematic camera trapping survey to develop baseline status for Persian leopards; 3) Elaborating the critical status of Persian leopards among regional policy makers and authorities. |
This project is graciously funded by the Future For Nature Foundation's Family Funding
